UFC To Merge with WWE
In a massive sport entertainment merger, Endeavor Group Holdings Inc., the parent company of the UFC, will be acquiring a controlling interest in professional wrestling promotion WWE it was announced, Monday. Endeavor, which bought controlling interest in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2016 will own 51% of the pro wrestling giant, which was valued at $9.3 billion. The UFC is valued at $12.1 billion.

It will be interesting to see if the merger leads to more crossover between the two organizations. In the past, WWE stars such as Brock Lesnar, who held the UFC heavyweight title, and CM Punk have have dipped their toes into mixed martial arts with the UFC, while UFC stars like Ronda Rousey have crossed over into pro wrestling with the WWE.
