The anticipation for UFC 303 is mounting as Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are scheduled to make their first official appearance together at a press conference. This event will take place on June 3 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, announced UFC CEO Dana White.
Admission to the press conference will be free, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the fighters. McGregor, taking pride in his Dublin roots, expressed his enthusiasm on Instagram: “MY FIGHT! MY HOME TOWN!”
Similarly, Chandler shared his excitement, saying, “This is going to be fun! See y’all there!”
UFC 303 is set to occur on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, featuring a five-round, non-title welterwight bout between McGregor and Chandler as the main event.
Both fighters previously served as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 31. McGregor, 35, a former two-division champion, is returning to the octagon after a hiatus following a broken leg injury in July 2021. Despite his sporadic appearances since his 2016 championship victory, McGregor remains a significant figure in MMA, boasting victories over several notable opponents.
Chandler, 38, a former Bellator lightweight champion, is also making a comeback after a break since his November 2022 match against Poirier. Since joining UFC, Chandler has had a mixed record, securing wins against Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson but facing defeats in other significant bouts.
