Since its inception in 2016, BRAVE Combat Federation has showcased top MMA talent from Kazakhstan. Now, Erasyl Shukataev aims to continue this tradition and establish himself as a major figure in Kazakh MMA by headlining BRAVE CF 84 against Bidzina Gavashelishvili in a flyweight contest.
Currently on a four-fight winning streak, with 10 of his 11 victories coming by finish, Shukataev is a former regional champion eager to demonstrate his championship-level skills in the global MMA stage during his promotional debut in China.
Although Shukataev will not be the first Kazakh fighter to headline a BRAVE CF event, he is seen as a potential breakthrough talent for Kazakh fighters, particularly in the flyweight division, which has seen fighters like Azat Maksum and Asu Almabaev.
Shukataev’s recent performances highlight his well-rounded skills and adaptability. Drawing inspiration from Maksum’s knockout power and Almabaev’s submission expertise, Shukataev enters the flyweight division as a promising contender in a division still seeking its inaugural champion.
In addition to his Kazakh heritage, Shukataev has been a champion in WEF, a partner organization of BRAVE Combat Federation. The last WEF champion to make an impact in BRAVE CF was Abdisalam Kubanychbek, who currently holds the Lightweight title, adding to the expectations on Shukataev.
By facing a top contender like Gavashelishvili in his promotional debut, Shukataev has a huge opportunity to emerge as the next big star in Flyweight.
BRAVE CF 84 will mark BRAVE Combat Federation’s debut event in China and begin a busy 70-day period for the organization, which will include hosting six events across six nations.
