BRAVE Combat Federation president Mohammed Shahid has announced that the winner of the BRAVE CF 81 main event fight between Erko Jun and Mohammed Said Maalem will be fighting for the Light Heavyweight title next. The two giants are set to meet in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 20, and the stakes have been raised for the already much-anticipated clash.
“There is no question. This is it. The winner is fighting for the Light Heavyweight title,” Mohammed Shahid said during his Hawk’s Corner podcast.
The Light Heavyweight throne in BRAVE Combat Federation is currently vacant after former champion Mohammed Fakhreddine relinquished the title.
Prior to this, Said Maalem himself was the champion for a short period before the result of his title-winning fight was overturned. Now, Said Maalem has the opportunity to earn one more shot at the world title. Said will be making his return to the BRAVE CF cage after a short break from the organization and is coming off an important win in the regional circuit, which earned him a ticket back to the big show.
On the other side, Erko Jun has already expressed his desire to fight for the title on multiple occasions. With the opportunity now up for grabs, Erko can make a statement if he manages to outclass Said at BRAVE CF 81. He goes into the fight on a four-fight winning streak and had made headlines during his BRAVE CF debut win back at BRAVE CF 70.
BRAVE CF 81 will take place at the Hala Tivoli Arena, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in association with WFC on April 20, as the first leg of the 2024 European Tour. BRAVE Combat Federation is expected to host at least six events in five European countries this year, with a huge world record waiting to be broken.
On May 25, when BRAVE CF lands in the Netherlands for the first time, the organization will have been hosted in a total of 14 European nations, something that has never been achieved before.
