ONE Championship's Competition Committee Disbanded, Vandaryeva-Supergirl Rematch Ordered

Even ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was confused as to how the judges could score it for Supergirl.
“Ekaterina easily won that fight. It was not even close,” Sityodtong told reporters in a post-event interview. “I just don’t know what the judges were seeing, what they were judging. She was one punch, one kick away from finishing Supergirl.
But do not expect the ONE competition committee to get involved because it no longer exists.
Effective at the start of 2022, per a source to the South China Morning Post, ONE’s new policy is to no longer review controversial results. Thus, they will not take a closer look at the result of Vandaryeva’s bout against Supergirl.
But it wasn’t all bad for the Belarusian striker. Due to her gameness in the bout, constantly looking for the finish, Vandaryeva was awarded a post-event bonus worth $50,000 from Sityodtong’s new bonus structure for 2022.
“I was super impressed. I just don’t see how she lost that fight, but I’m not a judge. We try to work with the best judges, but I know Muay Thai, and Ekaterina won that fight,” said Sityodtong.
Following the controversial result, ONE’s leader announced he was ordering an immediate rematch between the strawweight strikers.
Now, Supergirl will get a chance to reaffirm the result while Vandaryeva gets a shot at redemption as the rematch is slated for later in 2022. The two warriors will settle it inside the Circle as was always intended.
