With the success of the Cobra Kai series, Sony is launching a search for the next martial arts superstar to star alongside Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. We don’t know the specific details about the project, but it looks like it will continue on in the legacy of the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai.

"Cobra Kai," the hit series that continues the saga of the iconic "Karate Kid" films, is a thrilling blend of nostalgia and fresh storytelling. Set decades after the events of the original movies, the series follows Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka, as he reopens the Cobra Kai dojo, reigniting the rivalry with his former high school foe, Daniel LaRusso, portrayed by Ralph Macchio. The show cleverly explores themes of redemption, mentorship, and the complexities of adulthood, all against the backdrop of martial arts. With a mix of humor, heartfelt moments, and intense karate action, "Cobra Kai" has successfully captured the hearts of both longtime fans and a new generation, proving that the karate kid spirit is timeless.

The casting is for a young, male, Chinese or Chinese-mixed martial artist (who can play 15-17). Read below for full casting information and ways to submit!
