Rafael Lovato Jr. is an MMA and BJJ competitor and instructor who is currently competing in the middleweight division of Bellator MMA, where he is the former Bellator Middleweight World Champion and is currently ranked as the #4 middleweight fighter in the world by Fight Matrix.
Lovato Jr. made history in the BJJ world, as the first non-Brazilian to win the CBJJ National Championship in 2007 and also the first non-Brazilian to win the open weight (absolute) division of the same event in 2013.
Joining Black Belt's live FightBack event, to raise money for Red Cross' efforts to stop COVID-19, Lovato Jr. demonstrated and taught some of the moves and techniques that have made him such a successful competitor!
