It was announced today that Unleashed Brands, a parent company of business franchises that specialize in athletics, entertainment and learning facilities for children, has acquired one of the world's largest martial arts franchises, Premier Martial Arts. Founded by Tennessee karate instructor and business consultant Barry Van Over, Premier has schools across the United States and overseas as part of its franchise system.

Unleashed Brands will now function as the parent company of Premier Martial Arts though exact details of the deal have not been disclosed. Among Unleashed Brands' other holdings are Urban Air amusement centers, Snapology, which provides STEM education for children, and The Little Gym, a worldwide franchise of gyms specializing in child physical development.

Held in celebration of the Chinese New Year, and in response to the ongoing limitations presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Shaolin Kung Fu Online Contest invites Shaolin enthusiasts to download videos of their kung fu performance for judging.
