ONE Championship will kickstart the final month of the year with ONE: Winter Warriors on Friday, December 3, with the finale of the ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix.

The highly-anticipated final will feature Stamp Fairtex taking on Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat. The two talented athletes are not just competing for the silver belt of the tournament, but for a shot at “Unstoppable” Angela Lee and the ONE Atomweight World Championship.

And that is who unexpectedly showed up during their latest press event.

As the two women discussed their impending matchup, the reigning Queen of the division popped in to share her opinion on the final.

“I really love Stamp and Ritu. I think they both have such big hearts, and they’re both very humble,” said Lee.

“I think there’s huge mutual respect among us. I just appreciate the respect. I think that you don’t need to trash talk your opponent, I don’t think that’s who they are, and that’s not who I am. We don’t need to put on a show for the world and create some kind of drama that’s not there.”

Lee noted how the tournament added more depth to the talent-rich division. While the ONE Atomweight World Champion stopped short of giving a prediction, she let it be known what it would take to win given the striker vs. grappler matchup.

“I think it comes down to who’s able to utilize their mixed martial arts game as a whole, who can really incorporate mixing up the ranges and the styles, and who has a more complete MMA game,” said Lee.

But Stamp and Phogat each gave their thoughts on what it will take to topple the United MMA standout should they meet in 2022 for the coveted gold belt.

“It’s a very hard task for me because she’s very, very great in this game, and I will have to go back and train harder,” said Stamp.

“To beat a champion, I would have to think like a champion. I would devise a game plan accordingly to fight the champion in the Circle,” said the Indian superstar.

After both women told Lee how much of an inspiration she was to them, the Hawaii-based athlete left them with her final words.

“I know that both of you have trained extremely hard. This tournament is finally coming to an end. Having the title of being a Grand Prix World Champion is truly special, and I know both of you will fight extremely hard. I’m looking forward to meeting the winner next year,” said Lee.

ONE: Winter Warriors airs across all Bleacher Report platforms on Friday, December 3, at 7:30 a.m. EST/4:30 a.m. PST.
