James Pore is one of the most exciting athletes to watch in all of sport karate. His charisma is infectious and he brings a ton of energy to all of his fights. The lightweight's style uses a wide variety of directional changes that gives him great evasive defense and a speedy offensive game. At the 2017 Battle of Atlanta, Pore became the first lightweight to win the overall grand championship and the open weight title simultaneously in the history of the prestigious event.
Pore always seems to shine in the biggest moments. In 2018, he had an incredible run at the Diamond Nationals where he defeated WAKO world champion Roland Veres in the semifinals and then edged out Black Belt Magazine Hall of Famer Jack Felton to claim the diamond ring. He has also won the overall grand championship at the AmeriKick Internationals and won back-to-back NASKA overall world champion titles in the lightweight division in 2017 and 2018. Pore also has a WKC world championship title on his résumé.
