Remember this powerhouse?

The October 1975 cover of Karate Illustrated spotlighted a rising star—Ray Sua. Then an up-and-coming champion, Sua would go on to dominate the circuit as the Grand Champion of the Golden West Karate Championships, Heavyweight Champion of the Four Seasons Nationals, and 1st place winner at Steve Fisher’s Karate Championship.

Later, he made the leap to Hollywood, landing roles in action-packed hits like Escape from L.A., The Glimmer Man, and The Perfect Weapon.
