Louis Delgado, who appeared on the December 1970 cover of Karate Illustrated, was one of the greatest fighters ever to emerge from the East Coast. Known for his incredible speed and distinctive fighting style, he became one of the toughest and most respected competitors of his era.


His legendary battles against top martial artists of the 1960s Blood and Guts Era of Karate solidified his reputation, as he faced and challenged icons like Joe Lewis and Tom La Puppett.


Notably, Delgado holds the distinction of being the last man to defeat Chuck Norris in competition.
