With just over 24 hours to go until Cage Warriors 164 takes place before a sold out crowd at the Vertu Motors Arena, the fighters weighed-in at the Marriott Hotel in Newcastle.
At the Cage Warriors 164 Weigh-in, a new bantamweight champion will be crowned in the evening’s main event, as both Liam Gittins (134.7lbs) and Reece McEwan (134.4lbs) comfortably made championship weight.
Dario Bellandi needed additional time to make weight for his middleweight title bid. The Italian initially tipped the scales at 185.5lbs, before returning shortly into the two hour window to register a weight of 184.9lbs.
Defending champion Mick Stanton was perfect at the first time of asking, coming in at a svelte 184.5lbs.
There were fireworks as Perry Goodwin and Chris Bungard weighed-in for their lightweight tilt. The simmering tensions boiled over during the face-off, and the pair had to be separated.
Kennedy Freeman (134.4lbs), daughter of British MMA legend Ian ‘The Machine’ Freeman, looked comfortable on the scales for her Cage Warriors debut. She faces Annabruna Rados (135.2) in the evening’s featured prelim.
Elsewhere on the prelims, only Matthieu Moya (147.6lbs) needed additional time to hit his mark. The Frenchman eventually returned to the scales to make 145.8lbs
