Peter Aerts is a legendary Dutch kickboxer. Known for his devastating high kicks, which earned him the nickname "The Dutch Lumberjack," he is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight kickboxers of all time.
Bas Rutten, the legendary MMA fighter and martial artist, is known for his mastery of both striking and grappling techniques. He seamlessly integrated disciplines like Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and wrestling into his fighting style.
These two from the Netherlands were champions in their respective sports: Aerts was reigning K-1 champ and Rutten was the Pancrase (Japanese version of MMA) champ at the time.
