BRAVE Combat Federation will be returning to Europe on August 24 for BRAVE CF 86, the organization’s debut event in Bulgaria. The show will be headlined by a battle of giants as Bulgaria’s Atanas Djambazov takes on Arab MMA legend Mohammed Said Maalem in a Light Heavyweight clash.
This will be Said Maalem's second main event fight of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation. He previously fought at BRAVE CF 81 in Slovenia against Erko Jun, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss and he will return to action under the bright lights of BRAVE CF after recovering in the local circuit.
Atanas Djambazov, meanwhile, will be making his BRAVE Combat Federation debut at home. Djambazov was last seen inside the cage when he secured a first-round submission win over Paris Vaklas. After this, the Bulgarian has been away from the sport and now, will be returning to headline the biggest show in Bulgarian MMA history.
The co-main event will feature Jivko Stoimenov taking on Alex Lohoré, who is making a quick return to the BRAVE CF cage after an impressive promotional debut at BRAVE CF 83 in the Netherlands. Lohoré stopped former champion Marcin Bandel in the first round and aims to continue his momentum towards a title shot.
Jivko Stoimenov, Lohoré’s opponent, is on a two-fight winning streak with a professional record of 14 wins and 6 losses. He will be making his BRAVE CF debut and aims to make a strong impression in front of his home crowd in Bulgaria, as well as in the BRAVE CF Super Welterweight division.
BRAVE CF 86, to be held in Burgas, will be the sixth event of 2024 for BRAVE Combat Federation and part of the organization’s 2024 Europe Tour.
