Donn F. Draeger: The Life and Times of an American Martial Arts Pioneer

Read the story of this hoplology researcher and author who a pioneering figure in the Japanese martial arts during the mid-1900s. Well-studied in a variety of disciplines, particularly history, anthropology, engineering, sociology, physical education and cultural studies, Draeger nevertheless found his attempts at establishing hoplology as an academic discipline to be an uphill battle.
