LAS VEGAS—Randy Couture has opened a new facility here called Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts. It’s his third such location in the United States after the Team Quest Training Center in Portland, Oregon, and the Legends MMA Training Center in Hollywood, California. The 11,000-square-foot gym in Las Vegas houses a 24-foot ring, 3,500 square feet of mat space, 24 bags and an exercise area with weights, treadmills and other equipment. The upstairs has 2,500 square feet of mat space for yoga, children’s classes and private sessions. Opening gyms is a practical career move for a man of Couture’s profile and reputation. A fourth location is already in the works for Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. |
