LOS ANGELES—Sideswipe Performance Team, comprised of Matt Mullins, Craig Henningsen, Chris Brewster and Jackson Spidell, will appear July 17, 2007 on NBC's popular competitive talent show, America's Got Talent!

Currently positioned among the Top 20 competitors, Sideswipe is slated to compete tonight for a spot in the Top 10.

Viewers can vote online at the network's Web site or by phone numbers. The show, which appears Tuesdays at 8 p.m. PT/ET on NBC, is set to culminate with a grand-prize episode where the winning act walks away with $1 million.

According to NBC's Web site, America's Got Talent! showcases a colorful array of hopeful future stars—singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages who have a chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including actor/singer David Hasselhoff (Baywatch), British TV personality Piers Morgan and the queen of rock 'n roll management Sharon Osbourne (The Osbournes).

Sideswipe Performance Team is a martial arts-based group that blends traditional martial arts such as karate and taekwondo with gymnastics and acrobatics to create an extreme, high-flying display of talent, strength and stamina.
Based in Los Angeles, Sideswipe has been entertaining audiences across the country over the last three years, performing on television, stage, at sporting events, live action shows and karate tournaments.

The team appeared at Black Belt's 1st Annual Festival of Martial Arts, and Matt Mullins was recently featured in the upcoming September 2007 issue of Black Belt in its Celebrity Watch column.

The September 2007 issue of Black Belt is scheduled to hit newsstands on July 24, 2007, and will feature Black Belt Hall of Fame member Masayuki Shimabukuro as its cover feature.

UPDATE

According to NBC's Web site, the judges had this to say about Sideswipe's performance on Tuesday night:

"Sideswipe had the ladies swooning with their high-energy martial arts performance. Piers wanted to see a little more dancing, Sharon thought they looked good in oil and wanted to rub them down, David thought they had charisma and talent and wanted them to step it up even more."
